Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez; 2 September 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actor and film producer. Her career began in Mexico with starring roles in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) and for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. With roles in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly established herself as a leading actress in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal of painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) and the film she also directed was the first Mexican actress to be recognized for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6In addition, she earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek played the lead in the action-oriented Once Upon a Time in Mexico film in the years following and focused on producing.
