Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American as well as a Canadian artist and singer. She has released more than 20 studio albums. DiFranco categorizes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative, but it also has influences from hip-hop, punk and jazz. Widely considered a feminist icon Grammy winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement and is among the first musicians to launch her own label 1990. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who met Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Both her parents were both of Montreal from Montreal.
